  1. Purpose

    This cookie policy is provided pursuant to art. 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR") to all users who access, browse and use the following website: www.asia-impact.com (the "Website") in order to inform a user about all types of cookies used by the Website, how to remove and deactivate them, as well as the rights that can be exercised by the user under the GDPR. This notice is intended as a supplement to the Privacy Policy available on the same Website.

  2. What is a cookie?

    Cookies are small text strings used to perform computer authentication, session monitoring and storage of specific information about users accessing the server and are usually present in each user's browser. Some operations would not be possible without the use of cookies, which in some cases are technically necessary.
    All cookies may be classified in three ways: what purpose they serve, how long they endure, and their provenance.
    1. The purposes of cookies
      1. There are so-called “strictly necessary cookies”, also named “technical cookies”: these cookies play a crucial role in providing basic functionalities such as page navigation, access to secure areas, and ensuring the website's security.
        As Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2002/58/EC (“ePrivacy Directive”) states in art. 5 (3) strictly necessary cookies can be used even in absence of consent.

There are also “preferences cookies”, also known as “functionality cookies”: these cookies allow a website to remember choices of the user made in the past, like preferable language, region or the username and password for automatic log in. In certain situation those cookies are considered as strictly necessary cookies.
      3. The “statistics cookies” can be distinguished too — also known as “performance cookies,” or “analytic cookies”: these cookies collect information about how the user uses a website, like which pages were visited and which links were clicked on. None of this information can be used to identify a user. It is all aggregated and, therefore, anonymized. Their sole purpose is to improve website functions.
      4. Finally, there are “marketing cookies”: these cookies track the user’s online activity to help advertisers deliver more relevant advertising or to limit how many times a user sees an advertisement. These cookies can share the gathered information with other organizations or advertisers. These are persistent cookies and almost always of third-party provenance.
    2. Provenance of cookies
      There are “first-party cookies” that are put on user’s device directly by the website the user is visiting. Then, the “third-party cookies” are placed on user’s device not by the website visited but by a third party like an advertiser or an analytic system.
    3. Duration
      On the one hand there are so-called “session cookies” that are temporary and expire once the user closes the browser (or once the session ends). On the other hand there are “persistent cookies — This category encompasses all cookies that remain on the user’s hard drive until a user erases them or the user’s browser does, depending on the cookie’s expiration date. All persistent cookies have an expiration date written into their code however their duration can vary. According to the ePrivacy Directive, they should not last longer than 12 months, but in practice, they could remain on the user’s device much longer if the same user does not take action.

  3. Cookies on our Website and their purpose

    Asia Impact S.A. (hereinafter: “AI Company”, “Data Controller”, “we”) uses only technical cookies for the purpose of the proper functioning of Website. The purpose of use is technical and consist in:
    1. identification user’s device when log in to our Website. In this way it is possible to allow the display of personalized content and make available essential functions.
    2. analysis of navigation in order to make it easier to access the services.
    3. conduction of aggregate research and analysis to improve the content, products and services without aggregation of personal data.
    4. improvement security.
    We use cookies to improve the user’s navigation experience. Those technologies do not allow in any case the storage of data, access credentials or others information on the device, keeping untouched the web sites security level.

  4. How to disable cookies

    The use of technical cookies by AI Company can be avoided through the settings of their browser. Although the “Help” function of most browsers indicates how to configure it so that it signals when a new cookie is received on the device, refuse new cookies, or disables them altogether, to facilitate users, the links to the instructions on how to disable cookies through the configuration of different browsers are shown below. After this operation, however, some functions of the web pages may not be performed correctly.

  5. Methods of processing and disclosure

    The employees and collaborators of AI Company may process the personal data collected using cookies in their quality of authorized persons, pursuant to article 29 of the European Regulation 2016/679.
    In addition, the processing may be carried out by companies trusted by Data Controller as data processors, pursuant to article 28 of the European Regulation 2016/679.

    Personal data will not be disclosed in any way.

  6. Rights of the Data Subject/User

    Each User of our Website has:
    1. a right to request the Data Controller access to his/her personal information processed by or on behalf of the Data Controller;
    2. a right to have the Data Controller rectify his/her Personal Data if they are incorrect or incomplete;
    3. a right to request the erasure of his/her Personal Data in accordance with the provisions of article 17 of the GDPR including in the following situations
      1. where the Personal Data is no longer necessary in relation to to the purposes for which they were collected
      2. the Data Subject objects to the processing of its data and there are no overriding legitimate grounds for the processing, and
      3. the data has been unlawfully processed;
    4. a right to request a restriction of the processing of his/her data in accordance with the provisions of article 18 of GDPR;
    5. a right to object to the processing of his/her data;
    6. a right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale pour la Protection des Données (“CNPD”) in Luxembourg and the relevant authority of the Member State in which the Data Subject resides or works in accordance with the provisions of article 77 of the GDPR;
    7. a right to receive the Personal Data concerning him/her or to request that it be transmitted to another data controller, when feasible, in accordance with the provisions of article 20 of GDPR.
